About Us

In 1942, the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Y. Schneersohn, established Kehot Publication Society as the non-profit publishing arm of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement. Under the guidance and leadership of its director, the seventh Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, Kehot has become the world’s most expansive Jewish publisher and the oldest Chasidic publisher in America, with millions of volumes published in over ten languages.

Our Mission

Kehot Publication Society shares in the mission of Chabad Lubavitch and serves as the cultural and literary base of the movement by promoting Jewish education and spreading Jewish teachings around the world.  In doing this, we are also preserving classic Chasidic literature for future generations.
